Kärcher Acquires Holder

Kärcher Group and Max Holder GmbH have merged. The acquisition of Max Holder by Kärcher Group will strengthen the leading positions of Holder in the global market of municipal carrier vehicles. Likewise, this will also help to expand Kärcher’s ever growing footprint in the cleaning and sweeping equipment industry. “As we look to the future, we will benefit from the synergy effects in R&D, purchasing, production and sales and make both brands even more successful,” says Hartmut Jenner, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Management of the Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG.

“As the market leader for municipal carriers, the Max Holder group of companies has an extraordinary expertise in the development and production of municipal vehicles, and so ideally completes the Kärcher product portfolio.”

Holder has been hard at work on the planned launch and implementation of their US spare parts warehouse along with its expanding dealer network and coverage in the US. Holder has other exciting projects in the works and there will be much more to follow.

Max Holder GmbH is a leading manufacturer of articulated tractors in the world. Since 1888, Max Holder GmbH, which operates out of Reutligen, Germany, has stood for innovative engineering and has built high-performance products for winter maintenance, grounds care, sweeping, cleaning and watering.

Holder Tractors Inc. and Holder Tractors Corp. are the North American subsidiaries of Max Holder GmbH headquartered in Embrun, Ontario (30 minutes outside of Ottawa) with dealers, representatives and service locations in Canada and the USA.
